Hi. My name is Lindsey Eigsti. I am a senior here at Southern Illinois University. I am on the nutrition team for University Housing's Culinary and Nutrition Services.
Here at Southern Illinois University, we offer students two dining halls on campus, Lentz and Trueblood. We proudly serve locally-sourced options on our menus, and we work closely with SIU sustainable farms and local farmers to do so. Our hours and menus are available on the University Housing website.
In order to enter the dining halls, students will need to bring their student IDs. We also offer guest meals for purchase at the monitor station.
Incorporated in our students' housing contract is the Saluki Anytime Plan. This plan gives students unlimited access to either dining facility on campus. There's no counting points or rationing meals. They experience the freedom and flexibility to eat what they want when they want. The plan is also available for purchase for students that are noncontracted.
Each dining hall offers a variety of selections for students, including a daily main line offering entrees and sides. They include a deli station, pizza station, salad bar, potato bar, and display station with made-to-order entrees.
Our registered dietitian and nutrition team work to accommodate students with dietary concerns, such as food allergies, intolerances, other medical conditions.
For additional information, you may visit our website at housing.siu.edu. I'm Lindsey, and that's SIU Dining.
